I have used Palm - Zire 71 ( photo) also without trouble. I have it
sync with my iDisk>second computer as well as with my iCal and
Addressbook. I did not do anything after installing but disable the "to
do", "addressbook" and "iCal" in the conduit settings , so that it
would not sync with the Palm desktop software, but with addressbook and
iCal from Apple. You find them=-HD>library>application support>palm
hotsync> conduits . (memos and pictures sync directly with the palm
)memos to be found in Applications>palm>notepad, pictures in the
homefolder > pictures > palm photos >handheld ( if your palm takes
photos)
I did not have to buy any extra software. I was running first Jaguar
and now Panther .
The iPod also syncs automatically with addressbook , iCal etc. If you
don't need to put in data on the road somewhere manually, the iPod for
checking calendars and addresses does just fine.
