Hey Jeff,

In a nutshell, no. But the rule of thumb should you experience any related
problems by installing an incremental Apple software update is to download
and reinstall the ?combo? version of the updater and then repair
permissions. Hopefully that will clear things up.

Also note that turning on interferrence robustness usually decreases range.
And keep in mind that interruptions in the audio stream is usually directly
related to bandwidth and not just a loss of signal strength.

Subject: MacGroup: OS10 update and Airtunes

Ward and others,

Has anyone else noticed a degradation of Airtunes signal since they
loaded the latest update of OS10.3? I think my airport signal has been
somehow affected by this upgrade. The most obvious change though is
that the Airtunes connection keeps getting interrupted mid stream and
eventually dropped. I've tried to adjust the interference robustness
but it has not changed the situation. I also am aware of the signal
interference with our wireless phone but this is a new and very
annoying situation. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance,
Jeff Smith
