Marta, I don't think this will be much help because this info is 15
years old and for the PC, but this guy named Peter Norton put out a
lot of useful software including disk maintenance and sytem optimizing
utilities. I think he also had software that could recover deleted
files. His company was called Symantec if I remember correctly.

As far as the future search capabilities for the "Tiger" mail program,
being newer to the Apple world than yourself, I have no idea. I'm
just beginning to realize that the software updates in the Apple world
seem to come fast and furious; and I fear that staying uptodate with
the new releases is becoming expensive.

Thanks for the link to the dictionary website. It also had a link to
another more general dictionary website.

Thanks also for the Apple DIscussions site. I felt so ignorant for
such a long time and frustrated because I was just so certain that my
questions had already been asked many times before and didn't want to
abuse this wonderful resource, i.e., Macgroup. Now I can spend my
time constructively reading the FAQ's and getting basic questions
answered at Apple Discussions.

Peter
