Yes, OS X Server will run on a G4 tower. All you need is the server software. I dont know of any NAV that has a OS X server requirement, but I am not the last word either. I have OS X Server running on an old blue and white G3. If you intend to buy the server software, get the one that will meet your licensing needs. It comes in 10 client and unlimited clients for 499 and 999 respectively.
