An IDC analyst dissects the iPod shuffle, based on her analysis Apple is making a decent profit. She thinks that it costs Apple $59 to make the 512 MB model, the most expensive part is $31 for the flash memory. As flash memory prices decline, Apple's margin will go even higher.
