Mike, I tell you what , I thought of the old germanic runes, too,  when 
I saw my mistake. We  learned a lot about them when I was in school in 
Germany, and  i wondered whether it was subconscious, Rune meaning root 
- ( secret  -in the dark-beginning - today the German word 'raunen' ( 
sort of a murmur of a brook or the wind telling you some mystery)  
still goes back to those old epics  when the gods determined someone's 
fate by  using runes to cast a spell. I  had no idea anybody would even 
pick up on that.
