Didn't know what to think when Safari crashed while I was downloading something, perhaps 10.3.9. Don't remember, but thanks to this group, I was able to verify, in terminal (java -version) that I had a problem. Just downloaded the fix from software update and everything checks out, at least according to the response from terminal.
