Harry,

If you just want a copy of the article, why could you not use the 
software that comes with most scanners?  Would that not scan it into 
the computer and then save it as a file?.  If you need to search the 
article for words could you not use Omni Page

where they offer a plethora of products, but this link will take Andy 
to what he may want, many legal firms use their software.
