At some point that would make sense. Right now the G4 still has some 
life left in it.

On the other hand, it does look like the transition idea is starting;   
To use the new 30" LCD monitor with the Apple version of the NVIDIA 
card, you will need a G5 (the new card won't fit into the G4 
computers). If you check the blurb about the new version of XCode 2.0, 
it lists the ability to compile in 32 bit, or 64 bit or fat (both 
versions).

But I suspect it will be a while (several years) before you have to 
have a G5 or better to use the newest version of Apple's OS.

But I do wonder how long it will take folks like Adobe to re-compile 
their stuff to be 64 bit aware, imagine using more than the current 2GB 
limit in PhotoShop (smile).
So far Tiger looks nice.

Someday, I will come up with a clever signature line. I am not sure if 
I will use it or not, but I will come up with one.
