I read Alex Whitman's posts about the latest stupid Windows virus, including the fact that he's going to Virex his system because he happened to have HTML clicked on in his email program when the infected messages came in--just in case. I didn't know Windows-designed viruses could affect the Mac OS. I'm a home user who maintains a firewall and keeps her antivirus software updated, but I was always under the impression that bugs designed to infiltrate the many holes in Internet Explorer basically had nowhere to go on Macs. Is it that any browser under any operating system can handle HTML and thus might be vulnerable to this latest mess, or is there something else I'm missing? Any enlightenment would be most welcome. Good luck to Alex Joyce MacDonald
