Monkay,

Sorry to hear about your PowerBook being stolen. It's a curse of youth,
often, for things you put down to come up missing. I can recall several
painful losses when I was near your age... wallets, glasses, books,
boyfriends, etc. There were no computers in use to be stolen, however.
(I'm in my 60's.) When you don't have a car within which to lock things
(in the trunk), it can get tiring carrying everything on your back all
day, and it happens. The sad lesson is that you can't be trusting and
leave anything untended. Without constant monitoring, old ladies like
me often lose purses from their grocery carts, and so on. Best of luck
in obtaining a replacement. Meanwhile, we can hope someone at your
school reports the thief and it will be restored to you. That happens
sometimes, too. By the way, I'm very fond of your E-mail name; quite
clever.

Mike
