Need Help,
I have just gotten a Belkin 6 port Firewire hub. In the back I have plugged a firewire cable from a G4 Tower, a G4 Cube, and as soon as I get a long enough cable a dual 800 G4. I have also plugged in a VST 80 gig firewire drive. I am moving to a new location so as of yet I don't have the network set up, but I felt if I had all the items in the hub I would be able to access them, but if that is possible then I am doing something wrong. When I first started the 80 gig. it appeared on the G4 tower desktop, I plugged the 30 gig. VST hard drive in the front plug of the Belkin and that drive appeared on the desktop of the Cube. I could not find the 80 to mount it to the desktop of the Cube, I also didn't know how to find the G4 tower to mount it on the Cube as well. As soon as I unplugged the 30 gig. from the plug on the front of the Belkin, then the 80 gig. appeared on the Cube desktop. I had previously removed it from the desktop of the tower. O.K., I then plugged the 30 gig. back into the front of the Belkin and now it appeared on the desktop of the tower and there was no way I could figure out how to get it on the Cube. This is confusing I am sure, but there was no software with the Belkin, and I think I am running the latest VST software. Both machines are running OS 9.1 but as a final request will all this work as I move all the machines to totally OS X?
