>I am a student at UofL and I am looking at one of the DVD iBooks. There is little discounting on that particular product other than bundles or refurbs. Have you checked for the EDU discount at the University?
The iBook list mail indicates better warranty service through the authorized reseller's than Apple. You have The Complete Mac in Louisville with face to face service. Laptops in general are a bit more prone to require service. Is a small savings worth hours on hold? Shipping your box away for warranty service in Texas. The DV is fine if you own or have easy access to CD burner, otherwise the CD-RW might be the better choice ;-)...vD http://www.powerbookcentral.com/ The next meeting of the Louisville Computer Society will be September 25.
