Mac Group, I need some expert advise.

Two questions with just a little background.

I use my MAC's for investment purposes, in unusual ways for MAC users, but I
continue to hold out against going Wintel. This makes it difficult in the
financial world for most products are not written for the MAC.

I am about to get DSL installed and this will allow me to make some of the
trades electronically rather than by voice. I was in Chicago on 9/10 and
9/11, our day of horror, trying to get some of this handled. Here is the
only problem I have yet to conquer with the Internet trading once the high
speed lines are installed in October.

The firm that has the very best of trading front ends uses the Internet for
their product. They want their customer's to use Internet Explorer, which I
already do...but their product will not work on a MAC since there is the
following that they require:

Technical Specifications

"Microsoft Java Virtual Machine built 3100 or above. We recommend Microsoft
Java Virtual Machine built 3188 or later."

I don't have any idea what all this means, but I have learned that Apple's
Java will not handle this. Is there a workaround, or does anyone think that
with OS X, 10.1 that the Java in that version will handle this? If I can't
get this licked then I won't be able to use this firm.

Last question.

When I trade using voice I record the transaction and I keep these tapes
until the trade is closed and I am sure the broker did what was requested.
If I can get some of this done by placing the trade through the computer I
need a way to "record" what I did so I will have something to aid in a
dispute.

Is there any program that I can "turn on" that will "record" the open
windows, the keystrokes, etc. so that it can be played back as a movie if I
have the need? I would like this to have a replay of all the open windows
and the keystrokes I made. I would want to save this as a file if possible
with the date of the trade as the name of the file. I can work around this
and learn what the software will allow if any of you can point me in the
right direction.

Many thanks for your help.
