Bill, Based on the recommendation, I went ahead & bought one. In a nutshell, I like it, both for the protective quality it affords my laptop, as well as its ability to clean the smudges & most of the light scratches using a corner dampened only with water. I don't usually have an old t-shirt handy when it occurs to me to clean the laptop, so its handiness is also a plus.
My laptop didn't come with a piece of protective foam, either. But I manage to find a thin two-layer piece and I put the radtech cloth inside it. Probably overkill, but since the laptop is the only computer at home, I figured better to ensure protection for such an investment. Ciao for now!
