Stuffit Expander, part of the Stuffit package that comes on newer Macs, will open .zip packages. If you can't find it in your Applications or Utilities folder, go to this site:
http://www.allume.com/mac/index.html and get the free version for Mac. I keep a Stuffit Expander icon in my Dock and drag compressed files into it. I have yet to have anything fail to open. The program will expand the package in the same location as the target file (i.e. Desktop or Download folder.) ctw On Feb 6, 2006, at 5:27 PM, Greg Schoettmer wrote: > Just received an e-mail with a bunch of pictures attached. > Unfortunately, they came from a PC and were "zipped" before they > were sent. > How do you "unzip" something on a Mac? > > Greg > > > > | The next meeting of the Louisville Computer Society will > | be February 28 at Pitt Academy, 6010 Preston Highway. > | The LCS Web page is <http://www.kymac.org>. > | List posting address: <mailto:macgroup at erdos.math.louisville.edu> > | List Web page: <http://erdos.math.louisville.edu/macgroup> | The next meeting of the Louisville Computer Society will | be February 28 at Pitt Academy, 6010 Preston Highway. | The LCS Web page is <http://www.kymac.org>. | List posting address: <mailto:macgroup at erdos.math.louisville.edu> | List Web page: <http://erdos.math.louisville.edu/macgroup>
