The most disheartening thing about all this press is that perhaps the most dangerous Windows flaw ever discovered appeared during January: the Windows Meta File exploit [1]. It got almost no press, even though it was apparently put into Windows on purpose by Microsoft as a hack to make up for some design limitations with printer drivers. People are so used to devastating worms under Windows that they just view them as another cost of doing business.
