After upgrading my OS from 10.2.8 to 10.3.9 I noticed my hard drive
available space started dropping. I replaced my hard drive and the
same thing continued to happen. I called Apple. They worked with me
and tried to help but not until yesterday did one of their technicians
come up with the answer. He advised me that Macally's IShock game
driver had a conflict with 10.3.8 and would quickly fill up your hard
drive if not stopped. It used about 40 GB of my new drive but I
trashed the driver so hopefully I have it fixed.
Thought you might like to know.
