Thanks Jerry, great hearing from you. I had googled for and found that tip, but as you so astutely note, cmd tab is disabled, and that makes it a no go for me, love that cmd tab thing. In Photoshop I have been switching to Presentation mode which suppresses the dock and allows for high zoom editing at the screen edge without the thing continuously popping out. I'll just keep the dock hidden at the minimum size and change the things I can :)
