Having just purchased a G5 DP a few weeks ago. After the announcement
I hit the net, discovered no AltiVec for at least the near future, so
I didn't feel such a chump :) I just finished a 2.4G scan in
Photoshop (notice the small "s") so I fully understand your point.
Truthfully, I probably have all the machine I'll ever need at my
advanced age, but it never hopes to dream, and that's all I may be
capable of by the time it all comes together...jf
