In truth there are very few ways to verify email addresses as being 
valid. You can verify that the form of the address i.e. 
tom at someplace.com or tom at 123.456.78 or even some of the very esoteric 
forms are correct but that is it. This is what the scripts you find on 
the net are doing, checking the supplied form against the allowed 
forms. Some servers will bounce back an email for which there is no 
corresponding account on the server and some will not, just tossing the 
thing in the general catchall account.

Look at it like this, if there was a way, the spammers would be very 
targeted in what they send to you.

Try sending the email one at a time to each one of the group until you 
get the one that bounces back and change that address.

Someday, I will come up with a clever signature line. I am not sure if 
I will use it or not, but I will come up with one.
