If you have been mourning the loss of BBEdit Lite (hmm, maybe you are still using it) for those text writing / editing situations where Apple's TextEdit is not enough, but BBEdit is too much, well mourn no more. Bare Bones has released TextWrangler to Mac users and it is free. With so many features that you may never use in one sitting, how can you go wrong? And yes, this works as a bang up text editor for page layout programs such as Adobe's InDesign or Apple's Pages and makes a great editor for programming languages as well. If you dare go so far as to register it, you will get a coupon that allows you to purchase the full BBEdit at quite a savings.

I am not sure if I will use it or not, but I will come up with one. | The next meeting of the Louisville Computer Society will | be July 26.
