I have seen articles from people who have used old LCD monitors from
laptops and turned them into TV's, etc., but it's a lot of work. Here's a
link I found dissing the idea.

Boy, having the mini mac come out now makes me wonder
which I should buy iMac or mini-Mac! I used to buy
all the cool toys right when they came out and now I
wait... wait... wait.

One thing I've wondered for some time now is if color
displays from laptops (my original iBook for example)
could be take apart from the guts of the laptop to
function as a stand alone display. I don't have the
technical knowledge to know if something like this
could happen, if it is not possible at all, or
possible but not worth the time and money to do it.
My iBook seems to be on its last leg, but if I could
use the display for the mini-mac... how cool would
that be! The display could be attached under a
kitchen cabinet for example and flip down.
