I was also thinking about getting one for my wife, but I had a question that Apple didn't answer. Perhaps you can. She would mostly use it to listen to audio books. Many of the small MP3 players are badly designed for this because they don't remember where you were when you were when you last stopped listening. Does the Shuffle remember where you were between sessions while playing tracks in order? If it doesn't, it will be a poor choice for audio books. PS/ My regular iPod remembers, unless I make the mistake of plugging it into iTunes to add or remove tracks. If I let iTunes touch it, the bookmark is gone.
