I tried watching it for about 5 minutes before I switched off. Now I
just goto '61' out of habit before remembering how ugly it is and
switching over.

One of the techs, Dan Huard, had an interesting blog entry fter he
left on all that went wrong. They had him using employees/friends to
make fake calls that were 'interesting' as G4 felt the typical
call-ins were too geeky and boring. Somebody over at slashdot pointed
out that business wise the purchase was all about G4 getting into more
households. They had 6million households or so and TechTV had a lot
more (40 million? unsure of the number). The blog entry is gone now
though, I guess he got legalized.

Incidentally, recent report says they're dropping the TechTV part of
the name in mid-Feb and introducing two new shows: "Formula D" and
"Girls Gone Wired". The first is apparantly something to do with
'drift racing', which seems to just be racing cars with lots of
sideways skids (much like ice rally). The second will probably be as
pathetic as it sounds.
