I have an all-in-one Epson stylus CX5200 connected to my Macs. My
magenta color cartridge was empty. The machine therefore would not even
copy a black and white sheet of paper until I had a new magenta
cartridge installed. My question : Why would it be necessary to have
all color cartridges at least with some ink in them, if one would only
want to use the copying part of the printer? I thought just copying a
black and white page would not involve the color cartridges at all. I
need a wise man's answer.
