Several ways to fix
Open the Terminal (located in Applications/Utilities) and type the following
command:
defaults write com.apple.Safari WebKitOmitPDFSupport -bool YES
can resolve this issue in some cases

You can use the GetInfo panel select "Open with:", choose your application
Adobe Reader and then click
on the "Change All..." button.
or

Go to your settings for the QuickTime preferences.
In System Preferences, choose QuickTime, select the Advanced tab,
click on the Mime Settings ..., expand the Images - Still image files triangle
and make
sure that PDF image is not selected. If it is selected, Safari will
("correctly")
attempt to use QuickTime to display any PDF files.

Also Entourage is having issues with Little Snitch if you are using that it can
cause corrupted
pdf files in Tiger.

Subject: MacGroup: Quicktime pdf question

Anybody have any idea why, when I click on a link in Entourage that is webpage
pdf file, it opens in QuickTime within Safari and I can only read the first
page of the document? I am running Tiger. While I would prefer that it open
in Adobe Reader 7.0.2, I can live with Preview. I tried all the Preference
settings on all 3 programs to no avail.

Thanks,

Robert
