Real player is free, I never paid for mine, but i believe you can also  
play through quicktime.  I made some acrobatic movements to that effect  
lately, switched from one to the other, but don't ask me how I did it.  
My approach to this computer is intuitive, don't have the tech  
capabilities to assess the innards of this beloved monster .- And don't  
let the real player people  ask you to subsribe, somewhere in the top  
window is the freeeee forever button.
