A friend asked me to post the following. I understand that economics generally favors buying new computers over buying used ones, with or without processor upgrades. Nonetheless, a fanatical devotion to minimizing my environmental impact leads me to prefer keeping existing equipment in use by buying used. Does anyone in MUG have a good used Mac for sale, e.g. a G4 that was high-end a couple of years ago? I don't tend to do processor-intensive or storage-intensive tasks such as video or audio (other than playing interactive training CD- ROMs or DVDs), but would like to be able to run OS X V. 10.3. If you know of any prospective sellers, please put them in touch with me.
