What that means is that Lee has sent to you (either directly or via the 
user's group) an email that was digitally signed ... which means that 
it came from his computer at the least and is usually taken to mean 
that he really is the sender (or has been kidnapped and coerced into 
divulging the "key" that makes it all work -- depending on how given to 
flights of fancy you are, take your pick).
