Hey folks,

Anyone know how to find a device name in Mac OS X?

Here's the background: I have an ecrix vxa-1 tape drive which seems to
have decided to break (after a whole 8 months in service). To diagnose
the problem, I need to run a command line tool who's syntax is

./vxatool <devicename> [options]

Unfortunately, I haven't a clue what the device name is. Looking in /dev
doesn't seem to be fruitful ('cuz I'm scared of giving the wrong name).
The System Profiler doesn't seem to help, either. I can think of some
very special device names, but, alas, they work just as well as similar
names reserved for aggressive drivers.

Any idears?

Thanks,

Bill
