I think the last version of IE for OS9 was IE 5. The current version of IE for OSX is 5.2.2. Your favorites are stored in different files in the two different systems. And you cannot transfer the favorites files from one system to the other system. Your IE 5 favorites are stored in System Folder -> Preferences -> Explorer -> Favorites.html. To quickly transfer all your old favorites, you could go to that last file, click on it and it will open in your IE 5 in Classic. One at a time, go to each favorite site, select and copy the URL, open your OSX IE browser from your Dock, paste the URL into it, and save it as a Favorite. What if you are running many browsers in OSX, such as Chimera Navigator, Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator and Safari? It is nice to keep all your favorites in one place and let all the browsers share them. They will if they support Shared Libraries and you use URL Manager Pro <http://www.url-manager.com/>. I have 900 bookmarks, which are arranged in folders and subfolders quickly navigated by a pull down in the OSX Menu Bar. The pull down menu shows in all those browsers except Safari. I have not looked into why they don't show in Safari. | The next meeting of the Louisville Computer Society will | be May 27. The LCS Web page is <http://www.kymac.org>.
