Ben,
If you ran Software Update and clicked once on the Safari update, it gives
you a synopsis of what has been changed in the text below. If you do not see
it in Software Update, I have copied the text from Apple's web site here:
-----
What's New in Safari Public Beta 2
Safari Public Beta 2 features tabbed browsing, autofill forms & passwords,
privacy ?reset?, import of Netscape and Mozilla bookmarks, increased
standards compatibility, improved AppleScript support, and localized
language support for English, Japanese, French and German.
-----
To summarize: Better security, tabs for browsing, better importing of
bookmarks from other browsers.

As an aside, I would encourage everyone on this list to also check out
http://discussions.info.apple.com/

Sign up and join in the discussions or just lurk around the lists and see
what new info you can garner. Your preferences for the lists can be set so
that you receive an email when a reply has been posted to your specific
question.

This macgroup list provides a valuable resource for everyone involved. The
Apple discussion list may expand on the thirst for knowledge about Apple
products and would be an excellent compliment to this list. However,
sometimes questions that can be answered by just reading the documentation
get rather curt replies there.
