Well shucks. Do you have access to an iBook or a PowerBook or another
FireWire enabled Mac (from someone that Really Trusts you?)
If so (one of the first two) connect the two with a FireWire Cable,
start the 'Book up in Target Disk Mode (hold down the T key during
startup and the hard drive should mount as a drive on the other
computer.
For the last, download the IPOverFireWire beta from Apple, install it
on both machines, and follow the instructions for connecting them. they
should then act like they are connected via Ethernet on steroids (sorry
for the cliche, just trying to convey that they will connect and
transfer files reallllllllllllllllly fast).
