Thank you for taking the time to help. I'll certainly look at going to OSX. Makes sense. We, me, as less proficient, are fearful of the new. Seems I always create problems for my self. In fact, my present printer (Canon) has so many conflicts that I've decided to junk it. I have an older HP on an older Power Mac that works beautifully. Thanks again. Bernie
