Hi Beth, We sell the original Pioneer DVR-AO5 internal drive as a retrofit for $279 excluding installation. We can either replace the original drive in the cpu or add it as a second in the current G4s.
Being internal, it is recognized as a stock Apple superdrive and works as expected with iDVD. Mac owners of other types of cpus will be pleased to hear that we also offer third party optical drive upgrades. So a Tibook owner with a combo drive can easily have that drive replaced with a superdrive.
