If you recall a few days ago (well okay it wasn't that long ago, but in
computer rumor days it was a few lifetimes ago) I mentioned the
fore-coming of the Apocalypse (and hell freezing over) due to the
announcement that Quark Express 6, for OS-X, would be shipping next
week and even chided Apple a bit for believing the rumors so much that
they posted the news on their web-site?

Well, there is definitely a communications problem somewhere. Part of
the Quark Empire says it will ship next week, part of the Quark Empire
says it won't be out until July-August or there-about. Quark is now
discussing this within the Empire and should have it straightened out
sooner or given their history, much later. This is what Apple gets for
reading the rumor sites and taking them seriously (grin). Personally, I
think that Quark realized that they themselves were bringing on the
Apocalypse with the early (actually years late to the party) release
and did not want to be responsible for the imminent destruction of the
universe. Shucks, we could have all sold tickets to each other for the
view of the conflagration.
