Hey Harry, You were asking me how to use Preview to present slide shows on a Mac and of course we all chuckled a bit.
But. I have thought of a way to do it using the Bluetooth technology that Apple has built into OS-X. You will need a Bluetooth enabled cell phone (there are more and more of these critters available now). Older Macs will need a USB-Bluetooth antenna adaptor (the newest Macs already have this capability).
