Hey folks!
Anybody ever run across this?
Tried using AppleScript to record some actions in M$ Word. Every time I
did, M$ Word would crash.
Spent all sorts of time trying to find a solution, and finally found the
seemingly standard M$ Solution: deinstall and reinstall!
Deinstalled M$ Everything from OS X and Classic ('cept the fonts).
Reinstalled M$ Office v. X.
Voila! M$ Word would now record properly.
Alas! AppleWorks would no longer start. It would quit unexpectedly when
trying to build the font menu (apparently).
Fiddled with the Font Folder, finding that there was a series of fonts
which M$ apparently installed on the reinstall. Took all those fonts out
of /Library/Fonts.
AppleWorks started up just fine.
Put the fonts in 1/2 at a time, 'til all were back in the folder.
AppleWorks started up just fine(!).
Now M$ Word (Turd?) crashes when applescript tries to record.
What the @[EMAIL PROTECTED]@#$^ is going on?
