After finally finishing finals for the semester (now I get a few weeks until summer classes start) I sent in my Powerbook for repair. As most of you know, it had been having issues with the battery not fully charging.
I dropped of the PB at the DHL facility around lunchtime on wed (5/3). Apple repaired the machine and sent it back. I received it yesterday (5/5) at 1:00pm. Now that is a fast turn around. The battery issue seems fixed, as it's charging all the way up now, so I am very happy. A MUCH better experience than when I had to send my iBook in for repair. I suppose in their haste to get it back to me, they forgot something though. It seems that I had one of their diagnostic CDs still in the optical drive. Now I guess if I ever have any more problems, I can troubleshoot it myself :) One quick question: Is it normal to have a "recovered files" folder show up in the trash after a restart? it doesn't happen every time, and the contents of this folder change. It doesn't seem to affect the system in any way if I delete them. rick | The next meeting of the Louisville Computer Society will | be May 23 at Pitt Academy, 6010 Preston Highway. | The LCS Web page is <http://www.kymac.org>. | List posting address: <mailto:macgroup at erdos.math.louisville.edu> | List Web page: <http://erdos.math.louisville.edu/macgroup>
