First, "backup your data asap" if you have not done so. You problems may be software or hardware, hard to tell without systematic elimination. The simple stuff first:
1. How much HD space do you have available? If the disk is near full that could be the simple problem. 2. How much installed RAM is available? You may need more. 3. Do you you have to reset the date and time after a systems crash? Replacing the battery may be in order. 4. Run [1] Macjanitor, freeware that does unix maintenance that is probably not being done. 5. Simply reinstalling the software?or upgrading to a more recent version?then add you backed up data. On the hardware side, the usual suspects are: 1. Failing HD. Inexpensive and simple to replace 2. Logic board. not so inexpensive or easy to replace. On May 26, 2006, at 9:12 AM, usafdesigner at insightbb.com wrote: > I have a mac at work running 10.2.8.
