a digicam is usually 4:3 (a 3" crop of 4:3 in the same aspect ratio  
yields 2.25"), while 35mm film is around 3:2.

i suspected as much, you are probably more knowledgeable than she :)  
which makes it more plausible to send ready for web jpg's.

in photoshop/elements: file>save for web>optimize to file size?from  
the upper right carrot>i use 98k for the [1] photoforum i actively  
participate in. tell her not to mess with them. best...jf
