The DRM ( digital Rights Management) will not let you use them as they are.
You need to burn them on to an audio CD from iTunes.
Just make a playlist of the songs
Go to preferences in iTunes select burning.
select audio CD.
put CD in computer and click on the Burn
button in the upper right hand side of the
playlist window in iTunes.

When done you need to import the songs just like you
would any Audio CD. You can then use the songs in GarageBand or iMovie
or any other piece of software.

Subject: MacGroup: GarageBand & iTunes downloads

I need the assistance of the guru's in the group,

This Saturday my youngest grandson will celebrate his 1's birthday,
going to be a grand event, so I downloaded three "Happy Birthday"
songs from iTunes and had wanted to add them to GarageBand to make
one great, funny, and unique song.

The download songs will not load into GarageBand, while any C.D. that
I physically have on hand that had been imported into iTunes will
easily load by just dragging the song onto GarageBand.

Is there anyway to get this iTunes song into GarageBand?

As always, thanks for any help.

John R.
