If you're using IMAP to retrieve your mail, it usually means that the  
mail is being stored on the server, and it was deleted from some  
other computer or program between the time the headers were  
downloaded and the time you asked for the message body. I see this  
occasionally when I leave my office oomputer on and check mail at  
home, or vice versa. I have filters set up to automatically delete  
some messages, and once in a while both computers will be checking at  
about the same time, so they can step on each other.
