Group- Great meeting this week, I always come away with at least one new solution or answer. Thanks to all. Something I'm puzzled with: how do you tell if a cd-rw, or cd-r, or for that matter, any form of a cd, is blank and useable? In my pre-Mac life, I put a cd burner in my older PC. It never worked right. I now have several dozen discs that I would like to know if I can use them or toss them. My solution is to pop them in a drive that I know works (my Powerbook), and see if it recognizes the disc. 9 times out of 10 it shows the disc on the desktop. Is this really telling me anything? Would I be better to junk all unknowns, and start fresh? Thanks again, Bill Micou
