Well, I goofed. I unplugged an external fire wire drive without first
ejecting it via the finder.

Now it will not mount on the desktop. Disk utility sees the drive but
when I try to repair it I get the following message:

Repairing disk for "FireWire 80 GB"
Checking HFS Plus volume.
Checking Extents Overflow file.
Checking Catalog file.
hash table full (1024 entries)
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit (-9972)

Repair attempted on 1 volume
        0 HFS volumes repaired
1 volume could not be repaired

I don't have any other osx disk utilities. Any idea if another utility
(techtool, diskwarrior) might fix the problem?

Thanks.

Harry
