Yes - Stuffit Expander is free, and can be used to expand files which have been stuffed(!) into archives. Stuffit Deluxe allows you to look inside archives and pull out or add individual files. It costs money. >I thought I would download Stuffit Expander 8.0.1 as you suggested; >however I am having problems. I don't find 8.0.1 but I do find 8.0.2 >Stuffit Deluxe. I have Stuffit Deluxe 8.0 and have tried four times >this morning to upgrade to 8.0.2. It never downloads, instead I get an >application called Customized Mac application for viewing and editing >GEDCOM files. What in the world is that? Where did I screw up? Ok, here's what I tried doing: (eventually) ended up at http://www.stuffit.com as this is where the actual downloads come from. Scroll down to StuffitExpander FREE etc. Click Download Standard (which in reality is not what is wanted, becuase it'll install something I don't want, namely the stuff I would have to pay for) On the info page, I didn't give any information, though I thought of giving Harry's. I clicked the download button, and the proper file downloaded and turned itself into a virtual disk called Stuffit STD 8.0.2 Installer. I didn't install the software, because I have an old version of Stuffit Deluxe which I'm afraid it could clobber. So... this should work. I don't know what the other file was that you were getting...
