The rumors were right, Apple finally got around to updating AppleWorks, it is now at version 6.2.9 (for OS-X) or 6.2.8 (for OS-8 and 9). The rumors were wrong, Apple did not upgrade AppleWorks to be the "MS Word" killer. Maybe later.
