mDNSResponder is your Rendezvous daemon. That is, it is responsible for your
Mac showing up on a network as the name of your Mac and not the IP address.
It should be running all the time. You are not sharing unless you have
checked the Personal File Sharing check mark in the Sharing Preferences
Pane.
In any case, you're ok.
