This was on an eide drive, I also took it off and used the scsi drive with a clean install.
Could it be the sound card? Or a hardware problem? I know this might sound crazy, but it seemed to happen after switching from a 14" monitor to a 17" monitor. It was originally a 300 and I put a 333 zif in it. Maybe it is the numbers?
